inspiration

i was flipping through the latest instyle magazine and one of the features was "150 moments of style". i came across this picture of sharon stone from the 1998 oscars.

she wore her husband's gap shirt with a vera wang skirt. while maybe not entirely appropriate for the oscars, it revolutionised and redefined the definition of "black tie" attire for women. i guess i liked what she challenged more than anything else - be unpredictable. hence this look... but i wore mine to a kitchen tea... less controversial

shirt: ralph lauren | skirt: vintage (from london) | sunnies: luella | bag: gareth pugh | earrings: georg jensen | necklace: tiffany & co | watch: cartier
